Through this pathway, ASI North America evaluates CABs to determine their competence, consistency, and ability to deliver reliable conformity assessment services.

ASI North America also provides accreditation as a Participating Accreditation Body (AB) under the ASI Two-Tier Assurance Program (TTAP).

Through this pathway, ASI North America performs accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) against applicable ISO standards and accreditation requirements for certification activities related to ASI TTAP schemes.

Who can apply

ASI welcomes applications from all Conformity Assessment Bodies. Accreditation is open to CABs of any size or affiliation worldwide, provided they meet the defined scheme-specific requirements.

CABs wishing to certify under Scheme Owners who have appointed ASI GmbH as their assurance provider must hold both an Accreditation Certificate and an Approval Certificate from ASI GmbH.

Application process

All CABs start their application by completing the application form in English and sending it to [email protected] for accreditation review. 

Applicants must demonstrate compliance with scheme-specific accreditation requirements, including having a documented quality management system and clear structures to safeguard impartiality.
